Knowledge for Use (K4U)

A five-year research project funded by the ERC

K4U aims to construct a radically new picture of how to use social science to build better social policies and to attack specific social challenges in its six case study domains (UK Child Welfare, International HIV-AIDs, Mental Health in the EU, Local Health Economies, Occupational Health and Climate Services). Its central research stream are on building and on deliberating social policy.

The project is headed by Professor Nancy Cartwright and involves a team of senior scholars from Durham, London School of Economics and the University of Venice Ca’ Foscari and additionally supports two postdoctoral workers and two research students.
